Business Development Leader
CannonDesign has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Leader looking to join our growing Facility Optimization Solutions (FOS) practice in our Denver office. If your skills and experience are a match for the position described below, we’d love to hear from you.

FOS is ranked globally in the top 5 Facility Management services providers within an A/E firm. FOS serves ongoing client needs of capital planning, strategic planning and infrastructure investment solutions, providing the primary services of facility condition assessments, strategic planning, ADA compliance, risk assessments, preventative maintenance planning, asset tagging, and job order costing (JOC). Project scopes range from providing solutions for a single existing facility to hundreds of existing facilities across the country. Our FOS team utilizes software programs developed and maintained by CannonDesign.
ABOUT THE ROLEThe successful candidate will become an integral member of our FOS team working with FOS leadership and engaging with existing and potential clients. The candidate will be responsible to understand client’s business needs and operational challenges associated with securing funding for capital investments and introduce appropriate solutions provided by the FOS team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO• Engage with potential FOS clients to understand their business needs and operational challenges • Identify and qualifiy sales opportunities and prospects through targeted, high-volume outbound customer acquisition initiatives and inbound lead follow-up. • Follow up on and track leads from multiple sources and campaigns. • Researches potential clients, contacts, and opportunities. • Collaborates with the Business Development Manager and/or client leaders on advancing sales. • Create marketing programs that proactively drive engagement with the marketplace. • Develop opportunities by reaching out to potential new clients, building rapport, and providing solution information and explanations. • Conduct online demonstrations for prospective clients. • Maintains complete and accurate information in Salesforce, including tasks, activities, and prospect intelligence. • Team with channel partners to build their pipeline and create brand awareness for FOS. • Prepare, or collaborate with Marketing to prepare, promotional and pursuit material as appropriate. • Maintains and updates position and product knowledge by participating in training opportunities, studying product descriptions, and interacting with team members at all levels throughout the firm.• Travel throughout a primary sales region as well as support national pursuits. Anticipated travel is 50% or more.
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS• Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in business, marketing, communications, construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.• Minimum of 7 years of related experience with previous sales and account management experience required.• Previous experience in architecture, engineering or related field preferred. • Must be extremely results oriented with a desire to meet and exceed goals and have proven performance exceeding targets. • The ideal candidates will be highly organized with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively to achieve results. • Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential along with strong teamwork and collaboration skills with an ability to work with individuals at all levels and build strong working relationships. Previous experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.
