CannonDesign has an exceptional opportunity for an Administrative Assistant/Specifications Coordinator in our Chicago, IL office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Specifications team and performing routine administrative duties involved in the operation of office programs, projects and activities. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Formatting and organization of documents needed with specifications.
- Making coordination corrections and edits: project specifications are legal documents; self-imposed quality control skills are critical.
- Communication with project managers and teams in order to meet project deadlines.
- Providing reception and administrative back-up during lunch period and other times as requested.
- Coordination of educational opportunities and presentations within the office maintain calendar and prepare communication.
Qualified candidates will have an Associates degree and minimum of 2 years work experience with a history of demonstrated administrative skills in an office setting. Prior work experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry is a plus. Must be able to work in multitasked, deadline driven environment and handle large volume of documents. Accuracy and strong attention to detail are a must, as well as strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, time management, and organizational skills. Mastering of Microsoft Word is a must.
